Terms of Use

The app

Perch is a sticky-notes utility for macOS, distributed through the Mac App Store. Downloading it is free; the first 3 days unlock every feature, after which the app keeps working with up to 3 notes unless you purchase the one-time unlock.

The purchase

The unlock is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple. It is not a subscription, and there is nothing to cancel. The purchase is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on any Mac signed in to it. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's media services terms.

Your notes

Your notes are yours. They are stored on your Mac (and, when iCloud sync ships, in your personal iCloud account). We never see them, transmit them, or claim any rights over them. Deleting the app deletes nothing from your iCloud; deleting a note in the app deletes it where you deleted it.

Warranty and liability

Perch is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties and are not liable for lost data or indirect damages arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your place of residence, or the minimum terms of Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also governs your use of the app.

Changes

If these terms change, the change will be listed here with a new effective date before it applies.
