Your note, on whichever screen you're looking at.
Perch lives in the menu bar — the one thing every display shows. Click, and your note is there. On this monitor, or that one.
Download on theApp StoreWhere did that note go?
Ordinary sticky notes float on one desktop, on one display — and the moment you switch desktops or go fullscreen, they're behind everything. Perch puts your note in the menu bar, so there's nothing to hunt for.
Follow the cursor, or stay put.
Each note decides for itself. Most follow you from display to display. Some belong to one screen and should stay there.
Follow me
The default. Click the menu bar on any display and the note opens right there, on the screen your cursor is on.
Pin to a display
Keep the grocery list on the big screen and the standup notes on the laptop. A pinned note only shows up where you put it.
Small app. Finished details.
Everything a sticky note needs, and nothing it doesn't.
Reopens where you left off
Same note, same scroll, same cursor position. Close it and come back mid-sentence.
Six paper colours
Butter, peach, rose, mint, sky, lilac. The colour is the spine, so a list of notes stays readable.
Smart lists
Type "- " or "1. " and it becomes a list. Return continues it; Return again ends it.
Bold and italic
⌘B and ⌘I, like everywhere else on the Mac. That's the whole formatting palette, on purpose.
Search
Start typing in the panel and the list filters as you go. Matches are highlighted in the note.
Pinned notes
Keep the Wi-Fi password at the top forever. Everything else sorts by when you last touched it.
Press-and-hold actions
Hold on any note for pin, colour, display, and delete. No right-click hunting, no hover toolbars.
⌥ Space, from anywhere
A global hotkey opens Perch on whichever display your cursor is on. Press it again to put it away.
Dark mode
Follows the system. Paper colours shift to deeper tones so the spines still read on charcoal.
Perch vs conventional sticky notes
The sticky notes you already have are fine. Here's what's different. Full comparison with Apple Stickies →
One price. Once.
Try everything first. Pay only if it earns a spot in your menu bar.
Questions, answered straight.
Is it a subscription?
No. $9.99 once unlocks unlimited notes for good. There is no monthly plan, and there won't be one.
What happens after the 3-day trial?
Nothing dramatic. You keep 3 notes, free, forever. If you want more than that, unlock unlimited from inside the app.
Does it sync to my other Mac or iPhone?
Not yet. Notes live on the Mac they were written on, and there's no iPhone app today.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any current Mac, with any number of displays. Download it from the Mac App Store.
Do I need an account?
No. Download, click the menu bar icon, start the 3-day trial and start typing.
